Lafayette homes for sale have a world of recreation just a few minutes away. Golf fans can get their fill by teeing off at Colorado National Golf Course to the east, Broadland Golf Course to the southeast, Coal Creek Golf Course to the southwest and Indian Peaks Golf Course within city limits.

There is ample parkland and greenspace surrounding Lafayette, CO. The Carolyn Holmberg Preserve at Rock Creek Farm gives residents access to bike trails, fishing and wildlife viewing. The Greenbelt Plateau Trailhead near the city of Boulder has its own set of natural wonders. This protected grassland is home to coyotes, mule deer and wild bird species.

With major HOV improvements now underway on the Turnpike itself, including RTD Commuter Rail service at some point (a planned 41-mile rail route from downtown Denver past Flatiron to Louisville, Boulder and Longmont is only in its initial 6-mile stretch to Westminster), Lafayette’s commuter access into Denver is likely to maintain or perhaps grow more attractive.  That has already lured an Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center, and attractive surrounding neighborhoods created in the past two decades by McStain and other builders that offer their own, direct access into Boulder via South Boulder Road, Baseline Road and Arapahoe Road.
