Greenwood Village, Colorado is located on the southern edge of the Denver Metropolitan area. The history of Greenwood Village begins with pioneers and Native American who first settled the area. In the 1950’s area residents, concerned that the creeping growth southward from Denver would threaten their rural lifestyles, passed a vote to incorporate Greenwood Village as a town.From those humble beginnings Greenwood Village has become one of the most desirable and prestigious areas to live and work in the Denver metro area due to it’s close proximity to the Denver Tech Center, the Regional Transportation Districts Light Rail Line, and easy interstate access. The city’s current population is slightly over 14,000 residents. The city’s area covers roughly 8 square miles.
